Early childhood education for low-income children ages 3-4 in the Bushwick and Bedford Stuyvesant communities in Brooklyn.

The overall goal of ACE Integration Head Start is to promote an early childhood development program for all children.

This begins with a learning environment designed to help children develop socially, intellectually, physically and emotionally.  The subjects covered by the program include mathematics, language, science, music, art and drama. The offered activities and experiences encourage children to problem solve and think creatively. When necessary, services such as speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy and counseling are provided in the family’s native language. We believe that parents from underprivileged backgrounds benefit from additional support as they strive to create better lives for their children. Therefore, we provide support services as well as educational workshops for local families. Families with children who have disabilities are also provided with guidance that helps them better understand their child’s needs.

Each child is first and foremost an individual.

A child’s strengths, interests and learning style are incorporated into the curriculum, and planned activities are based on developmental levels and individual needs. ACE Integration Head Start focuses on the needs of the children and stimulates learning in all developmental areas. This is achieved while also caring for the children’s health, nutrition and social/emotional needs. Our school is a safe place and handicapped-accessible to meet the needs of all children. The space is inviting and attractive, with a variety of indoor and outdoor equipment to accommodate children with special needs. Through our Head Start program, affordable early childhood education is within reach for all.
